Kardham Digital and Aruba (HPE) partner to provide WiFi solutions for commercial buildings

March 2021

Paris, March 11, 2021 - Kardham Digital, the Kardham Group's subsidiary specializing in digital technologies applied to commercial real estate, announced yesterday a partnership with Aruba that will enable the optimization of its customers' hybrid work environments through virtual office infrastructure solutions. The partnership was announced by Pascal Zératès, Managing Director of Kardham Digital, Grégory Gatineau, Category Manager France Aruba, and Emmanuel François, President of the Smart Building Alliance, during the webinar "Digital, a remedy for the obsolescence of commercial real estate". This partnership allows Kardham Digital to complete its Smart Building and Digital Workplace offer, but also to reinforce its unique positioning as the first IT services company dedicated to the digitalization of work environments.

The consecration of ubiquitous work
Beyond the health crisis and the advent of massive remote working that it brought in its wake, the digitalization of work has shifted the notion of the workplace, identified on office walls, to that of workspace, which is multispatial. Forms of work are becoming flexible in terms of place and time. This is the concept of ATAWAD (Any Time, Any Where, Any Device) work: work can be performed at any time and in any work environment as long as a digital terminal and an internet connection are operational. The challenge for organizations is now to be able to guarantee business continuity and secure the productivity of their employees in hybrid and multispatial workspaces. To meet this challenge, Kardham Digital is partnering with Aruba, an IT equipment manufacturer recognized for its network and security solutions. This partnership enables Kardham Digital to manage the virtual office infrastructure on behalf of its customers, allowing users to access all their usual work environment, applications and data regardless of the terminal they are using and wherever they are.

Going further in workspace digitization
With this partnership, Kardham Digital goes even further in the digitalization of workspaces, in the streamlining of the user experience in the building and, in general, in its customers' corporate real estate digital transformation. As a reminder, the IT services company offers smart office technologies (AV layout of spaces/software solutions), smart building technologies (IoT/Building Operating System, digital concierge services), and managed cybersecurity services (design/operation/maintenance of a SOC - Security Operations Center). In 2020, Kardham Digital also strengthened its digital workplace expertise by acquiring the "Building" branch of ViaDirect, a specialist in the design, implementation and operation of digital workspace management solutions. These solutions are used to manage physical distance, provide occupancy statistics, inform employees reliably and contactlessly, alert on occupancy thresholds in real time and anticipate presence in offices.

"In addition to the building operating system, which rationalizes and mutualizes the flow of information between field equipment and service applications, more and more customers are asking us to manage the entire IT infrastructure part of the building, including the virtual office. We are proud to partner with Aruba, a leading player in its field and recognized in its market, to offer a sustainable, high-performance solution that repositions employees at the center of their work environment", said Pascal Zératès, Managing Director of Kardham Digital.

"HPE Aruba has been at the forefront of innovation for many years and is recognized as a leader in providing building professionals with the means to create a user experience that brings people and technology together to increase productivity and unleash potential, wherever the business is located. The world's leading companies trust us and we are pleased to help support the real estate of the future, resolutely as a service", said Gregory Gatineau, Category Manager at Aruba.

"In recent years, we have been witnessing a major change in human activities which, under the impact of digital technology, are becoming more and more hybrid. All our activities are concerned, starting with work. More than a constraint, this is a tremendous opportunity that organizations need to seize to review their workspaces, and make them more scalable, multi-use, private and collaborative hybrids. This partnership shows once again that the real estate industry is more than ever at work in its digital transition", said Emmanuel François, President of the Smart Building Alliance.
