While the history of shopping centers begins in the 1950s in the United States, they settled in the French consumer scene from the 1960s. The Pau-Lescar center, opening its doors in 1973, was part of the first wave of creation. Also, its extension / redevelopment could not be envisaged without an environmental approach (BREEAM Very Good). Finally and above all, this renewal cannot take place without refocusing this architecture on all individuals, all users and the human dimension.
